On a chilly Sunday afternoon in February, a friend named Linda invited Lisa and others to her home.  When they arrived they were told that they were not just there for tea and cookies, but to make Valentine’s Day cards.  Once the laughing stopped, they realized that their hostess was serious.

On February 14th a slightly embarrassed Mark gave Lisa his store bought card, that didn’t look or say what he really meant and felt.  Lisa gave Mark the card she made. It was on rich heavy paper with a custom deckled edge, and hand embossed with an oak tree .  He read the personal message inside.  Lisa beamed and shared how she had made it herself.

At that moment the idea for NIGHTLY NOTES was born.  Why not give others the chance to feel a sense of accomplishment and pride in their creativity, and have a valuable gift of love, too?

This is the actual card
that Lisa gave Mark.

After finishing over a year's worth of  research and development, on July 14 — exactly 18 months after Lisa's Valentine card to Mark, Nightly Notes was launched.  A full color 48 page catalogue started things going.  After only a few months there are Distributors in many states, as well as internationally.

Meanwhile, the original idea of teaching others to create cards has also grown.  Nightly Notes is now developing its own line of stamps and other products.  Also, since they have been teaching people to embellish their scrapbooks already,  they will be offering scrap booking products and techniques and will continue to grow and expand its ideas and the lines that it carries.
